The frequency model of contacts illustrates the most significant personal and academic relations that were mentioned and reiterated during interviews with Polish mathematicians. The subjects of the interviews encompassed studies, international mathematical cooperation, and contacts with Czechoslovak mathematicians.
The frequency model demonstrates the intensity with which narrators spontaneously emphasised academic relationships of extensive cooperation in the past. Two younger narrators, Prof. Zofia Adamowicz and Prof. Andrzej Sołtysiak, were in close contact with Prof. Wiesław Żelazko and his wife Hanna Stande-Żelazko, despite the fact that all of them were engaged in different branches of mathematics.
